Abel Rodriguez, Co-Founder & Co-Director
Abel Rodriguez became a 3rd degree black belt instructor in 1990 at the age of 21 and made a 20 year long career of teaching Okinawa Karate to children and adults. In 1996 he opened two Karate schools "Dojo" in the beautiful and modern city of Queretaro and Mexico City. In 2005 Mr. Rodriguez moved to Houston and operated a dojo before starting to teach Kids Karate after school in many public and private elementary schools. Abel's calm, reliable, friendly and helpful demeanor provided him with the opportunity to develop professional relationships that would be a stepping stone to offer an after school program. Abel partnered with Sharon D'Amico and together they created Little Heroes Inc.
Abel is on campus every day to oversee program operations and ensure all policies and procedures are being implemented. You will find him assisting our staff and students in all areas whether opening milk cartons, taking attendance, setting up an obstacle course, wiping up a spill, and playing a game of chess or soccer. He enjoys interacting with the students and making them laugh.
Abel is a father of two adult children. Abel enjoys long distance cycling, listening to music and expanding his home improvement skills.
